Forklifts use gasoline, diesel, electricity, compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied propane gas (LPG), etc. Propane ic forklifts are actually what we call liquefied petroleum gas forklifts.

Why use propane?

Propane is mostly hydraulically processed and stored in storage tanks, which is convenient for transportation and fuel replacement. In the forklift industry, this advantage still exists. Propane  ic forklifts do not need to be charged for 3 hours or even more than 5 hours like electric forklifts, all-electric stackers, and all-electric transporters. This is idle machinery; secondly, the charging of electric forklifts, electric stackers, and electric transporters is also limited by power supply, while propane ic forklifts, propane stackers, and propane transporters are different. They only need to carry a gas tank full of propane, which greatly increases flexibility, and a gas tank can store at least 8 gallons of propane, with a large reserve, and the use time is much longer than that of electric forklifts.

The advantages and disadvantages of propane ic forklifts!

Propane ic forklifts can start working in a lower temperature environment, while electric forklifts, electric transport trucks, and electric stackers will experience increased power consumption and be unable to start in low temperature conditions. However, the propane gas tank will be placed behind the forklift, which will hinder the driver's field of vision. At the same time, the weight of the gas tank will increase the weight of the forklift, which is also a factor that cannot be ignored. Therefore, in this case, the front weight must be increased to maintain the stability and work safety of the forklift.

Maintenance of propane ic forklifts?

The maintenance of propane forklifts is similar to the maintenance details of other forklifts. Propane is a flammable gas that forms an explosive mixture with air. It is dangerous to burn and explode when it encounters a heat source or an open flame. In addition, if propane leaks, a low concentration of propane will cause a person to feel slightly dizzy, a high concentration will cause a person to be anesthetized and lose consciousness, and an extremely high concentration will cause a person to suffocate or even die. Therefore, it is necessary to check whether the propane interface is well sealed and whether the sealing parts are aging. Secondly, because the gas tank is placed at the back of the forklift, you must be careful when driving to prevent the gas tank from being hit; thirdly, the propane forklift must be kept away from fire or high temperature environment.
