However, most controllers for electric forklifts need to be imported, and the price of batteries is also relatively expensive. The price of circuit boards is also higher than that of diesel forklifts. Overall, the cost of accessories is much higher than that of diesel forklifts.
The larger the production volume of the same product, the lower the procurement cost of individual components. Although the sales of electric forklifts have been growing, according to the annual sales of the two types of forklifts, diesel forklifts have much higher sales than electric forklifts. Distributed among various manufacturers, diesel forklifts can be produced in large quantities and the price is naturally very low, while electric forklifts are difficult to achieve mass production. In addition, the daily expenses, personnel costs, equipment wear and tear of factories make it difficult to achieve a low selling price.
However, with the continuous improvement of environmental protection requirements by the country, the demand for diesel forklifts in the future market will gradually decrease, while the demand for electric forklifts with environmental characteristics will inevitably increase year by year. Although it is relatively expensive in the short term, due to its lower maintenance costs compared to diesel forklifts, and maintenance cycles that are two to three times longer than diesel forklifts, the maintenance time required is also much less, which can greatly save maintenance labor costs, effectively shorten forklift downtime, and improve forklift efficiency and economic benefits. Therefore, overall, electric forklifts are more economical.
