1. Starting point
Before starting, observe the surroundings and confirm that there are no obstacles that may affect driving safety. Sound the horn first, then start the vehicle.
2. For vehicles with hydraulic (pneumatic) braking systems, the brake hydraulic (pneumatic) pressure gauge must reach a safe level before starting.
When starting the forklift with a load, the driver should first confirm that the load is stable and secure.
4. The start must be slow and steady.
2. Driving
1. When driving, the height of the bottom of the forks from the ground should be maintained at 300-400mm, and the mast must be tilted backward.
2. The forks must not be raised too high during driving. When entering or exiting the work site or driving on the road, be careful not to collide with any overhead obstacles. When driving with a load, the forks must not be raised too high, which could affect the stability of the forklift.
After unloading, the forks should be lowered to the normal driving position before driving.
4. When making a turn, if there are pedestrians or vehicles nearby, you should first give a driving signal. High-speed sharp turns are prohibited as they can cause the vehicle to lose lateral stability and overturn.
5. When driving a forklift downhill, it is strictly prohibited to coast with the engine off. Except in special circumstances, sudden braking while carrying a load is also prohibited.
6. When operating a forklift, one must adhere to the in-plant traffic rules and maintain a certain safe distance from the vehicle ahead.
7. When operating a forklift, the load must be placed at the lowest position that does not hinder driving, and the mast should be tilted appropriately backward; except for stacking or loading, the load should not be raised.
8. The height of the load should not obstruct the driver's view.
9. It is prohibited to make turns on the ramp, and one should also avoid driving across the ramp.
10. The safe driving speed in the forklift factory area is 5 kilometers per hour, and low-speed safe driving is required when entering the production workshop area.
11. When the forklift is lifting, lowering, or driving, it is forbidden for personnel to stand on the forks to hold items or act as a counterbalance.
12. Timely repair and report any identified issues, and never operate with defects or conceal them
3 Loading and unloading
When lifting items with a forklift, adjust the spacing between the two forks as needed to ensure balanced loading on both forks without any tilt. One side of the item should be placed against the stopper.
2. It is prohibited to perform single-fork operations or use forks to push or pull objects. In special circumstances where objects are being pulled, safety warning signs must be set up to alert surrounding pedestrians.
During the loading and unloading of items, the forklift must be braked with a brake.
4. The driving speed should be slow and steady, and care should be taken not to crush the wooden pads under the wheels, as this may cause the crushed objects to bounce up and injure people.
5. When using the forks to lift the load, the forks should be inserted as deeply as possible beneath the load, while also ensuring that the fork tips do not touch other loads or objects. The minimum mast tilt-back should be employed to stabilize the load and prevent it from sliding backwards. When lowering the load, the mast can be tilted forward slightly to facilitate the placement of the load and the extraction of the forks.
6. It is prohibited to fork and pick up goods at high speed and to collide with hard objects using the fork tine.
7. When operating a forklift to lift objects, personnel are prohibited from standing around the forks to prevent injury from falling goods.
8. Overloading is prohibited. It is forbidden to use forks to lift personnel for work at heights, in order to prevent accidents involving falls from heights.
9. It is not allowed to use braking inertia to slide, release, or transport round or easily rolling objects.
10. It is not allowed to use forks to pick up, flip, or stack pallets for unloading.
4. Get off the forklift
1. It is prohibited to leave the forklift with items suspended from the forks. Before leaving the forklift, the goods must be unloaded or the forks must be lowered.
2. The parking brake lever is fully pulled or the parking brake switch is pressed down.
3. Engine flameout and power outage (except for special circumstances, such as the driver not leaving the vehicle's line of sight and not exceeding 1 minute).
4. Remove the key.
